[ september has been...nice. weirdly nice. the fall weather and lack of harm to the people she cares about has been a huge boost to yang's mood. sure there was the whole "call her uncle's cop almost-boyfriend uncle while turned into a kid" debacle, but it's a small blip of mortifying embarrassment. that moment certainly won't bite her in the ass later.
regardless, she's feeling good. no better time to hit the gym than now.
yang is in the middle of her warm-up routine, eyes closed as she stretches her hands high up to the ceiling, when she hears the door open. nice, a workout buddy! ]
Hey--! [ yang opens her eyes and the friendly greeting dies in her throat. ah. this reunion was inevitable considering how she and emerald best friends and ruby's insistence that they all stick together. despite all of that, yang had hoped for more time. they haven't spoken since--.
her stomach roils. ]
...Neo. [ her arms drop to her sides as she wills herself to keeps her tone and posture neutral. ]
[Well, she wasn't hiding now, was she? Siiiigh. Neo nodded as she stepped in more fully into the gym space. One foot in front of the other, a hesitant look on her face before it blended away into a bit of neutrality of her own. She was really not sure how to 'talk' to Yang. The last time they'd spoken was...
...not good.
But her eyes hadn't turned red, so Neo was taking that for the moment. Setting a gym bag down by the wall, she slipped her parasol into that and then stepped away, just a little visible act of 'see not armed' before she gave a small salute to Yang. She fidgeted a little, clearly a bit unsure. Should she get a notepad out? Did Yang just want her to leave? It wasn't like they both didn't usually keep different hours here. She'd... just let Yang take the first choice here.]
